Dr. Cimino, Lead Consultant and principal owner of Design Onsite LLC, has acted as design lead for notable East Coast architectural design firms, her work spans retail to hospitality design with over two decades of higher education pedagogy application in both graduate and undergraduate programs of Interior Design and Interior Architecture. Current faculty with UC Berkeley-Extension Interior Architecture. Additionally, Dr. Cimino also has extensive experience in corporate workplace education for a fortune 500 company.

Deirdre holds four highly accredited higher education degrees in Design: Associate Degree in Applied Science from the Fashion Institute of Technology, Manhattan

Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design with a minor in Art History from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, MA

A Master of Science degree from Drexel University in Interior Architecture + Design

A Doctorate in Planning, Design, and Construction with a concentration in Environmental Design from Michigan State University with dissertation research in workplace sense of community & developed built environment factor guideline focused on employee commons space layout, design & best use.

Having passed the LEED GA exam, Dr. Cimino is an advocate of built environment sustainable considerations and The Americans with Disability Act. A respected and sought guest critic of architectural/design graduate-level work, she is a long-standing community and industry volunteer as well as a consummate mentor to interior architecture design at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

President of PA East chapter of ASID 2020-2021 representing over 500 architectural designers in Delaware, New Jersey, and the east side of PA. Fall 2021, Nominating Chairperson.
